Aditya, who previously appeared on the UPSC exam twice, made history this year by being the highest score-securing candidate in the last five years. He effectively surpassed the score of another popular IAS Tina Dabi who secured the first rank in 2015 UPSC CSE.

- After his MTech in Mechanical Engineering Aditya got himself a job at Goldman & Sachs. There he worked for a year and a half before quitting his job to pursue his dream of becoming an IAS officer.
- He then started preparing for UPSC and in his first attempt could not make it to the mains. However, in his second attempt, he got himself a better rank and assumed the position of an IPS.
Still thriving for more, Aditya made a third attempt this year while he was a trainee in the police academy of Hyderabad. And in this attempt, he not only got himself a better rank but became the AIR 1 of UPSC CSE.
