NEET 2025 RESULTS

The results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2025, conducted by the NTA, have been released. About 22 lakh students took the exam this year, which was held on May 4, 2025. Final Answer Key Released (NEET 2025)

Along with the NEET results, the answer key was also released by the NTA. Earlier, the provisional answer key was issued by the National Testing Agency on June 3, 2025. Students were given the opportunity to raise objections until June 5, 2025. Students were required to pay ₹200 for raising objections to a single question. Candidates can download the final answer key from the website https://neet.nta.nic.in/

NEET 2025 Counselling Process

The NEET 2025 counselling process is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats and by respective state counselling authorities for the remaining 85% state quota seats.  The counselling process is expected to commence in the second week of July 2025 and conclude by November 2025. 

  • All India Quota (15%) – Conducted by MCC (Medical Counselling Committee)
  • State Quota (85%) – Conducted by respective state authorities.
  • Deemed/Central Universities – Separate counselling by MCC.

Key Steps in the Counselling Process:

1. Registration: Candidates must register on the official counselling portal of either MCC or their respective state authority.

2. Choice Filling: Candidates can fill in their preferred colleges and courses.

3. Seat Allotment: Based on the choices and merit, seats are allotted to candidates.

4. Document Verification: Candidates must present original documents for verification.

5. Reporting to Allotted Institute: Candidates must report to the allotted institute to complete the admission process.

NEET 2025 Exam Pattern

The NEET 2025 examination introduced significant changes in its pattern: 

  • Mode: Offline (Pen and Paper-based)
  • Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)
  • Total Questions: 180 (All mandatory)

Subjects:

  • Physics: 45 questions
  • Chemistry: 45 questions
  • Biology (Botany and Zoology): 90 questions

Marking Scheme:

  • Correct Answer: +4 marks
  • Incorrect Answer: -1 mark
  • Unanswered Questions: 0 marks 

Section B, which previously contained optional questions, has been eliminated, reducing the total number of questions from 200 to 180. This change aims to streamline the examination process and reduce the overall duration.
